Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking is one of the most effective cardiovascular workouts enabling you to burn 46% more calories than walking without poles. Furthermore, it uses 90% of our skeletal muscles compared to only 60% when running and 40% when swimming.

If you want to feel fitter, more toned and full of energy, join us outside Rowheath Pavilion every Thursday at 11 am. If you have never done Nordic Walking before, please contact Hazel on 07813 364709, for details of forthcoming beginner workshops.

Hazel Jonas has been trained by British Nordic Walking to the standards of the International Nordic Walking Federation and teaches the ‘Ten Steps Programme’ for full Nordic Walking Technique.

Tai Chi in the park

Tai Chi

A new Tai Chi class, join in for free on the patio.  Thursdays at Midday until 1pm.

Supported by Bournville Village Trust.  The class will start for complete beginners but all levels are welcome.  We will be teaching tai chi and chi-kung.  No previous experience is necessary and no level of fitness is required.
