Rowheath February Market Day!
Bournville Farmers Market – Rowheath Pavilion
FIRST started on the 19th May 2012, Rowheath Pavilion hosts Bournville Farmers’ Market from 10am-3pm on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Running every month throughout the year, it provides the community with local, home-grown and produced products including bread, meat, fruit, vegetables, cakes, cheese and much more right on your doorstep.
Philip Holley of Hibiscus Grove Food Co. has been at the market since it began back in May 2012.
His popular stall offers ethnically produced authentic South East Asian Cuisine: “there’s a positive atmosphere here at Bournville Farmers’ Market, its well supported by local residents.”
Philip remarked on how friendly and inviting Bournville has been as a location for the market. Many customers follow the stalls on a regular basis as they rotate around the local area, and have commented on how the setting provides a welcome change in their routine, encouraging a slower pace to the day and time to spend with their families away from busy high streets and supermarkets.
Sam Clifton, Events Manager commented “Many of our weekend visitors look forward to the monthly Farmers’ Market as it is a day out for all the family. Our Café offers speciality hot drinks and homemade cake, whilst the bar screens popular live sport and is dog friendly – a hit with the local walkers! Children and Parents alike are set to be entertained this month with the addition of a sell-out craft fayre and a travelling children’s bookshop ‘How brave is the Wren’, who specialise in children’s picture books. The shop operates out of a bespoke converted caravan! We’re also looking forward to a performance from All Star Vocals at 11.30am!
